The Spread Eagle Hotel is the perfect setting for your child's Christening, Baptism or Naming Day.

 

We offer a range of refreshment options and our well appointed function rooms can accommodate both large and small numbers of reception guests. Our Fothergill Suite can accommodate up to 200 guests and this room offers exclusive use with a fully staffed bar and foyer area. Our AJR and restaurant are options for a smaller gathering. Our Fothergill Suite has a main function room with wooden dancefloor, a stylish bar and exclusive use garden. The whole suite exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We can host parties up to 220 guests and are happy to accommodate Bands, DJs, Photobooths and more!

We offer a range of refreshment options and our well appointed function rooms can accommodate both large and small numbers of reception guests. Our Fothergill Suite can accommodate up to 200 guests and this room offers exclusive use with a fully staffed bar and foyer area. Our AJR and restaurant are options for a smaller gathering.

 

Our rooms will be dressed for the occasion with white clothed tables and a separate photograph/remembrance table.

    Just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time we had on Saturday 27th  for  the above retirement dinner.
     
    It went really well and John had a fabulous send off, Everyone enjoyed it .
    Your staff were great, they could not have been more helpful . The serving staff worked really hard , I think there were only 3 of them but they got everyone on a   table served very quickly  So no one really had to wait long for  food. Lots of people have e mailed me to say it was great and that the food was very tasty . Puddings especially were excellent !

    What can I say, it is the first time I have been to the Spread Eagle for any event so I was a little worried about how things would go.  I did not need to worry as everything I asked for was provided.  The event went very well, a very family orientated party just as I had spoken with you about.  Richard and his team were lovely and the food excellent, you were right, there was a bit too much so lots was left over.  Dave Cato was lovely, not as I had imagined or how we had spoken!  A very professional set up and a very nice person. Everyone were very impressed with the venue and the party so a very big thank you.

     

    Erica, you were professional, helpful and very easy to talk with, thank you.
    I am not sure when my next little ‘gathering’ will take place but I will have no hesitation in recommending you and your team.

     
     
    95th Birthday Celebration
     
    I want to thank you and all your team for enabling us to celebrate my mother's 95th birthday in a really special way, in the AJR room last Sunday.
     
    Prior to the day, you made the whole booking/payment process a smooth and user-friendly experience - thank you!
     
    On the day itself, we had a truly wonderful time and my mother enjoyed the whole afternoon. 
     
    The Afternoon Tea was superb - a great selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones etc, lovely room, and the service from Lynne really was outstanding. She supplied us with the food, accompanied by a constant stream of different teas, & coffee in a very friendly, helpful & efficient manner. Nothing was too much trouble. Lynne was an absolute star!
     
    In addition we and mum spent Sunday night in rooms 35 & 36, followed by breakfast in the morning. Again this was superb.
     
    Pease pass on my sincere thanks to your team, and thank you also, to you Erica - you are a star too!
